Kelsey Mitchell becomes Ohio State's leading scorer


GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Kelsey Mitchell progressed toward becoming Ohio State's untouched driving scorer in the main quarter and the twelfth positioned Buckeyes beat Florida 103-77 on Wednesday night. 

Mitchell, who drives the country with 25.7 focuses per diversion, required only eight focuses to tie the record and she softened it on a sprinter up the path. She passed Jantel Lavender (2,818 focuses, 2008-11) of the Los Angeles Sparks. ....Read More>>

Mitchell was 12-of-22 shooting for 30 focuses. She expanded her Division I vocation 3-point record with four makes from separation to sit at 415. 

Sierra Calhoun included three 3-pointers and 21 focuses for Ohio State (9-2). Linnae Harper scored 18 focuses and achieved 1,000 vocation focuses on a layup in the final quarter. The Buckeyes are seventh in the nation at 89.5 focuses per diversion and have topped the century stamp three times this season. 

Mitchell made three 3-pointers in the principal quarter and had 15 focuses to enable OSU to manufacture a 31-18 lead. Ohio State drove 51-38 at the half
